  • Unlock the quick release lever on the front wheel - do not rotate the lever.
  • Remove the front wheel.

Step 2 - Unlock the frame quick release
  • Stand on the chain side of the bike.
  • Open the quick release lever on top of the tube - spin counter clockwise 5 to 6 complete rotations.

Step 3 - Fold the bike
  • Press and hold down the quick release and fold the bike with the handle bars turned away from you so they fold into the rear wheel.
  • For extra compactness, open the quick release below the saddle and lower the saddle all the way down.

Montague Clix quick release system, a standard feature on all Montague Bikes

Please note - There are a number of demos on google and u-tube of Montague and Swissbike folding bikes nearly all of which show you how not to do it! It maybe that for the purposes of filming, the demonstrator is on the wrong side of the bike when folding or unfolding the bike. You must always be on the side of the chainset when folding or unfolding the bike as specified in the instructions. This is the correct way to do it . You will note from the demo links we have provided that the man is standing on the correct side of the bike.
